Keyboard Not Working On Desktop

Hi..... For no known reason my keyboard on desktop stopped working today. Because it said it was working I decided to try in different USB slots, still wouldn't work. Plugged into my laptop it worked and just downloaded drivers on that.

I put it back into desktop but it wouldn't work so download new drivers....it said they were up to date so it didn't do it. I then uninstalled keyboard thinking when I take it out and plug in again it would install it just like the lappy. I don't even think it uninstalled it as no verification. No bleeping way was it having any of it.

I'm not that techno savvy so now don't know what to do or why it's gone like this. Thanks in advance for your help....I am silently screaming here lol.

I'm even less techno savvy but have you switched pc off and on again with all attachments duly plugged in?

Sorry if you have already done that, was just a thought x

Remove any other usb devices and see if it works

Well alba....ahem...cough cough...errr....no I didn't!!! Sometimes I have a brain and other times... mush?? Jeez, I've been trying to sort since before lunch, obviously any "brain" that was working was sleeping too!

Go to the top of the class...lol best answer for you. I cannot believe I didn't try it just once for goodness sake as it's normally what I would do...sigh. Don't tell anyone that I'm THAT stupid, especially on the internet lol. Thank you.

@ Tuvok, thank you so much, I had tried that after a while and it still didn't work....seems the "simple" things can be overlooked by moi... one day I might get a proper brain lol.
