I have had my computer for about 18months and a couple of weeks ago I noticed that when I type something letters are randomly missed out.. Spoke to somebody about it and they suggested a new keyboard so I bought one. Now it is happening again. Any suggestions what is causing this? (Please keep it simple as I'm not very technically minded!)

Is this a PS2 keyboard or a USB keyboard mate?
Question Author
Think its a USB. Its the one that came with my Dell computer.
Try uninstalling it in Device Manager, it will ask if you are sure, don't worry just say yes.
Shut down
Re-attach the keyboard and let XP "find" it again.
Unless it's a really snappy keyboard I doubt it will need a driver.
