Disc Cleanup

The last few times I have tried to do Disc Cleanup I have had to cancel it as the green bar does not move. It goes to 2 green notches then nothing. This time I left it for over an hour and still the same. I don't know what the problem is and would appreciate any advice.

how big your drive ?
howmuch spare ?
if you are using the built in cleanup ... it onlt removes temp files .... often leaving the stuff you realy need to get rid of ....

so it could be running out of "finking" space .... does the HDD light come on and stay on when the bar freezes?
if your disc is excessively full ... the swapfile "thrashes" the disc ... and things take ages.

Hello AC, yes the HDD light does stay on. I have downloaded the link you gave so will give that a go.
