I have a HP PC using Vista and a wireless Belkin router. I have just been given an 7 year old HP pavilion A235 pc using XP ,which is equipt to be connected to a network by means of an Ethernet cable ( not wireless ) but it is upstairs which would require a 7metre cable which could be done OK but I thought a wireless connection might be be easier !
If so, do I need a wireless adapter on it and if so which one should I buy. ?
Are there any other potential problems for either of these solutions. ?
Yes, if you want to connect it wirelessly, you'll need an adaptor.
But, before you get one, take your existing PC upstairs and check that you can get a decent signal.
