I've just registered with a large garden supplies website and when I went to log on this message came up..

Is it anything to worry about? I don't shop on the internet very often, I'm a bit paranoid. :)

I'm having a cleaning blitz, it's going to be a long job, I have to keep stopping, but I'm still seeing vine weevils. Thankfully they don't fly, and, to the best of my knowledge, are only interested in plants. I've found two dead ones today but they obviously hide during the day and crawl out at night. So, I can either buy expensive chemical plant treatment or, probably cheaper, ditch all the plants and start with new ones in a few weeks when the coast is clear. I wonder what neti would do? :)

We rushed to lidl in San an only to find sewing machines come in tomorrow and none of that Suddenly perfume, I am distraught, so off to lidl in Ibiza tomorrow to try to recify the situation.
Yesterday was officially the hottest day, but it's a scorcher today.
Not much to be had in lidl but I got some lovely prawns for my dinner.

Robi, its heartbreaking but a general toss out might be the only way. The other thing i have done is tipped out every plant and washed the roots right out then repotted and treated with the nematode stuff. I lost all my orchids last year to that cotton wooly sticky bug thing. had to scrub round the window frames as well to get rid of it

Hi all. Can't sleep tonight again. Since last Tuesday I've been feeling sick on and off. What can I take for it. I've not been physically sick just feel it and haven't much of an appetite. Sitting downstairs now having a drink of warm milk hoping that will take it off. Hope you're all fast asleep in your comfy beds. I'm off up again in a minute or two. Laters gaters!

I've usually got stemetil to hand for nausea Jude, but it's a prescription thing. I guess alternatives are plenty of water, ginger or peppermint tea....or ginger in any form. Sometimes sucking a polo mint seems to help me.
I felt a bit queasy myself yesterday but it was due to the blinding headache that came on in the afternoon. Thankfully I don't get many since being on the beta blocker. And it certainly wasn't snipping weather, it piddled down all afternoon, so I didn't miss anything.

domperidone works well for sickness. Its sold under the brand name motilium. Or as Robi said, anything ginger or peppermint. there's a funny bug going round here at the mo, it makes you tired and feel generally rough and perspire buckets but no other symptoms. I thought it was hormones playing up but apparently its affecting young and old and blokes as well. It doesn't really feel like a bug till you are over it and realise how rough you've been feeling. I am paused in the gardening apart from odd jobs, need to do some snipping as the garden waste gets collected on monday. Looks like its going to be a good day for it.

I have got the sewing machine we got there at 9.15 and EVERYONE had one in their arms or trolly, it looks a bit complicated so am waiting for Mr N to explain the ins and outs, t'll make him feel important. I found one opened packet of Suddenly so had to buy it, I am so cross, but they say there is more coming in, but sis is bringing some out in October just in case!
I feel fine although am sweating buckets, have lost a lot of weight, love it. Lidl prawns were lovely last night but I ate too many and felt sick!
