I keep getting a pop up ,Right Coupon, whilst shopping online,it is driving me nuts...I set it to "never" but still keeps coming up...grrr!!!!
How can I get rid????
Download, install and run the free version of Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware to get rid of it:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/
(NB: When installing, take care to de-select the option to take a trial of the 'PRO' version).
Malwarebytes should kill any malware on your computer. I'm always wary of alternative programs as (while most of them are probably OK) a few are fraudulent and may actually add further malware to it.
It's the free version you need. If you've not already installed it you need to take care to remove the option to take a free trial of the (paid-for) 'PRO' version. However if you've forgotten to do that there's still nothing to worry about. You'll simply get some reminders when it's about to expire, inviting you to pay for it. If you ignore them the program will continue to work but it will simply revert to the 'free' version.
Of course, when you've installed it you do actually need to run it! It can take quite some time to do a (so-called) 'quick' scan [often over half an hour] but it will almost certainly find a few nasties which you can then delete and everything will hopefully be back to normal.
I have downloaded and it is now doing a Quickscan...you are right,it is taking ages!!!...but...if it gets rids of these annoying pop-ups,will be worth it,Yes,I remembered to remove the option for free PRO trial.
Thank you for your advise...will let you now how it goes on.
By the way,I have a little Norton box come up in the bottom right hand corner saying it Auto Protect is processing security risk Trojan.ADH.2.will this affect the Malaware?
It has finished ,got to restart for it to finalise...is there anything I have to do to make sure the pop ups are stopped...or does it do it automatically?
