Sorry wrong section of technology.
Sticks OK. I have mine clipped to my keyring so I won't forget it.
i prefer cd discs, more robust
Out of those two .. a pen drive.
DVD data disc DVD-R (Verbatim) kept as multi-session and in a box probably best out of anything tho.
The advantage of a memory card is that if you purchase the correct type – you can use it in your camera or other digital device. To use it as a ‘memory stick’ you only need buy a card reader.
Sticks are more versatile IMO, if you're going to be transferring data from one place to another far more machines have USB slots than card readers.
It's a good idea to carry one around all the time on a keyring , you never know when you could do with it.
I use a SanDisk one - good tried and tested reliable brand.
Hi AOG, I'd have said it's horses for courses. If you are wanting to permanently back up information/pictures, etc. I would suggest an external hard drive or CD-ROM/DVD disks. If you want to move information around from one PC/Laptop to another then the USB Memory sticks are the simplest, you can get ones that are password protected or encrypted. Memory cards are good but in my eyes they are more for mobile devices, i.e. digital cameras, mobile phones, video recorders. Hope that helps.
