SKY + freezing

Hi

Is anyone else with Sky + having problems with recorded programmes freezing?

Sounds like the hard drive is failing.  You can fix this by going into the installer menu and doing a format of the drive.  We did this and it fixed the problem for about 4 weeks. Then sky came out and changed the box (Under warranty).  A sky engineer once told me that you can swap the hard drive with a new one yourself (just a pc hard drive apparently) do a full system setup and it should be ok.

It could also be that the signal from the satellite dish is poor, causing freezing. Do you have the same problem when you are watching live sky? If not, try swapping the feeds from the dish round and seeing if the live sky starts to freeze, and recording is ok. Then you'll know that the LNB or cable needs changing.
