Have nearly put all my cds on I-Pod 160GB, am now so worried my laptop will break and I will lose the whole lot. What kind of back up is best, anyone recomend a cheap option and what to do with it??

One day I'm hoping you can just order albums that store on the tv, like films from sky.

Yep, as above link recommends...

External hard drive, and then keep it somewhere safe but update it regularly. to be properly safe use two in rotation and only use the drive(s) for that one thing.

so can anyone recommend a good hard drive?
I've always used Freecom hard drives without problem...
Seagate and Western Digital have good reputation.
