I'm desperately trying to rip movies from a DVD (home movies) and import them into Premiere CS3 so I can edit them down and put them on YouTube.
I have bought Nero which I can't get to work (the files don't import into Premiere with jumping, video not being there, out of synch etc). I've also tried various free converting software downloads which have just infected my computer with Babylon and not worked.
DVDSoft have advised me to copy the DVD to my computer (as if going to burn a copy) and then use their software to convert it to an avi.
I have tried this, burning a copy: Nero opens and makes the image. Then the disc is ejected. AT THIS POINT I apparently need to locate the copy of the DVD which has been saved to my computer BUT I have no idea where to look! I'm imagining it might be a VOB file or something?
I am going mad with this- any advice most gratefully received!!
