Having a brain freeze. How can I select specific cells to protect rather than the entire sheet?

Once you have selected the cells, right-click and choose the Format Cells... option, and the Protection tab lets you set the Locked property.

Hi- what do you mean by Protect a Cell?.
Do you mean so no-one can edit it
What bibblebub says then
you have to protect the sheet first - Review tab -changes-protect sheet button. Once thats done highlight cells you want to protect (lock) go to format cells - protect tab
I would like to know as well, I can't remember for the life of me.

Bibble, that option says the sheet must be protected as well?
You can always select all cells by using Ctrl-A and turn off the protection for everything first, and then just select the cells that you want protected and turn it back on for those.

Aha! Brill. Did what you said Bibble and then protected the sheet with the selection of others using the unlocked cells.

Oh, and I obviously meant to include the word 'Thanks' in there! :)
