...I'm thinking of buying one of these radios.Has anyone got one,what do you think,? any good?.Pure and Roberts seem to be leading contestants both being at £79.99.I'm wanting it for cricket commentary mainly.

Cricke commentary? Indoors or outdoors?

If outdoors, then go for a small portable one, other than that, a table top one of any make will suit your purpose. Evoke, Roberts, etc., etc.

The Radio Listener's Guide is a highly-respected annual publication which, among other things, reviews all radios currently on sale.

The DAB personal radios listed in the 2013 edition are as follows, with their rating (out of 5) in brackets:

So, for the very best quality (at a price) the Roberts SportsDAB 2, looks to be your best bet. To save money though, a trip to Tesco (for the Technika DAB 211PT) might be in order.

Buenchico..Chris...I have often read,learnt and inwardly digested comments and advice from you on many different subjects.You and others, notably Chuck,help us less technically proficient ones to understand it all.
The Roberts Sports DAB 2 was my choice thanks providing the confirmation.

Be prepared to spend the rest of your life recharging batteries if you want a portable. Buy online because that way, when you discover that you can only here DAB through what sounds like boiling mud, you can send the radio back and get a refund.
