Computer Won't Come Out Of Sleep Mode ( I Think)

Hi, the lounge computer, a Packard Bell running windows 7, has just failed to 'wake up' when I tried to use it after it was in sleep mode since this morning. It's run via a Panasonic 65 inch TV as a monitor and is linked with a HDMI cable. I have tried restarting the computer, turning off the TV, changing the HDMI ports (Xbox etc is working fine on all HDMI ports), killing the power to both for half an hour and I'm now stuck as I can't get it to wake up so can't see to investigate it's sleepytime settings :(
Does anyone have any ideas please?
