Crop & Save A Photo - How?

I've tranferred photos from my camera on to Photo gallery & can crop to various sizes but cant seem to save them at the 'new' size. How do I do this?

Hi Potty,
I'm not sure if I can help, but whenever I crop a photo in Windows Photo Gallery, I click on 'apply' and then just click the arrow at the bottom of the screen to move on to the next photo.. and 'saving' comes up to tell you the photo is being saved.
(The newly cropped saved photo will override the original)
I found when I was cropping photos using windows "Paint", I had to give the "new" version a name before it would save.
