Until today, when I wanted to print something, I just did Control-P, which brought up a dialogue box. This box had a "print" option but now it just says Save. I am alos have problems with my HP Photosmart C6280 All-in-one, which is giving the following error code :::Oxc19a007. When I try to print, it doesn't.

I had this same problem about 2-3 years ago but I have forgotten what the solution was ...can anybody help please !

The printer now says Ink System Failure...Ink system has failed. Unable to print. Refer to printer documentation, etc !

Curiouser and curiouser.

But I did manage to print one page off OK about an hour ago !

Thanks Hans ! I have spent the last 45 minutes turning the bloody thing on and off, pressing buttons, and generally going quite mad ! And now it seems OK ! I guess it and the PC just got into a tizz, which I think is the correct technical term !

Any ideas on the Control+P issue ? although it is printing again OK ?

It still goes to "save" instead of Print. I Now have to go Control+P, then Shift+control+P to get it to print. This has never happened before and I guess it must be my PC rather than the bloody printer. I use Chrome if that helps.
I don't know what to say about Ctrl + P. Does the Print Box appear if you click 'File' (top rt of screen) and then from the drop down menu 'Print'. ?

Might still be worthwhile letting the HP Doctor have a 'look' at your printer to see if there is a problem which the Doctor can automatically fix.

Thanks Hans...I suspect this is a Chrome problem...the wonderful system that many of us changed over to from IE, because it was better...better my Aunt Fanny !

By the way, its not happening on Mozilla Firefox, or IE !
Cheers. It appears that you have solved the problem which, I would now say, had been brought about by Chrome.

I found Chrome a positive pain in the posterior and it was regularly causing little itchy problems. Consequently, I removed it and am now left with 'only' four Browsers....Internet Explorer; SeaMonkey; Safari; and, my all time favourite, Firefox.

Once again Hans...thanks !
It looks as if when your printer was unavailable Chrome took the only other option which is to save as PDF, when you do ctrl+p what printer appears in the default box, if isn't your printer use the 'change' box underneath to select your printer and all should work properly again.
