Windows 10?

I have windows 7. is it okay to download windows 10 and if so how will it benefit me?

The full version is being released on July 29th. You can download and install the technical preview now - it is not guaranteed to be stable as it is very much a work in progress.

I am using the tech preview but there are a LOT of updates than can take some time to install, so be prepared for that if you want to try it. Not recommended if you don't know what you're doing.

What one needs is a good demo website so one knows what one is letting oneself in for before downloading something and maybe regretting it. I tend to stay with what I have until it fails to achieve what's needed any more.

A Windows symbol has appeared in my task bar this morning, if you click on it, you can reserve your copy of 10 and they will Email you when it has been downloaded, you then install at your leisure.
