Shredders

I have a A4 5 sheet cross cut shredder which I purchased from Morrisons last year, although the engine is running and the blades rotating the machine has stopped feeding in paper unless the clear button is held down continuously which I am sure is not a good idea Has anyone any suggestions how to remedy the problem? There are no bits of paper stuck in the blades. Any help much appreciated

I suspect you have something jammed, or at least covering a sensor.

Can you unplug it, take it apart and clear it out by hand ?

not sure about that I will have a think but thanks for the suggestion. The blades are all whirring away and I can see daylight through all the gaps but a sensor being covered is a possibility
