The Ipad Issue

As I only dip in and out of AB I have only yesterday evening fell foul of what appears has been a problem for others. Accessing AB on Ipad, load keeps freezing even when history and web data cleared. Tried on my daughters Ipad and the same. I checked on AB's Facebook page to see if others were having problems and left a message. I then accessed AB via the link in FB and all worked fine but still can't access direct through Safari. Any idea techies? Ed?

Just get AdBlock from the Apple Store, follow the very simple installation instructions and......hey presto!

I use speedmeup.net on the ipad and its fine

I would be very wary of using speedmeup. You're passing all your internet traffic through their proxy, which presumably filters known ad traffic before forwarding the remaining traffic to you. Note the word 'all'!

I resorted to the adblocker yesterday after putting up with the problem for several days.
I know Answerbank needs payment from the Ad views, but the site has been unusable without the blocker, so was left with no option.
Yesterday AB killed Safari, so I tried Mercury, Opera and Dolphin browsers which were also dead because of the AB fault. For one website to disable the internet across all browsers must mean it is actually doing something bad to the OS, which is not good, and why I finally decided to block.
