I am starting up as a mobile DJ, and I want to advertise on Facebook, because I am advised that this is where people will look for a party DJ.

How can I ensure that my Facebook page will be seen by the right people?

I am a complete beginner with FB - my daughter is going to set up my page for me, I just need to know what to put on it - images, etc., and how to make sure that the right people, and enough of them can see it.

Thanks for any advice.

Jordy, I think you make yourself look petty and nasty - you certainly have here.
There is an interesting line between asking for help in advertising and actually using a thread to advertise for your own benefit.

Given that the OP has included no contact/location information and cannot be messaged via this site, I'd say he is well on the correct side of the line.

Been on the Bonios again sunny-Dave?
Good luck, Andy.....I'm sure it'll go well......is there an upper age limit for groupies?... ;-)

Not that I'm advertising my groupie services of course....x
I'll assume that's an insult, jordy - which I shall display with pride.
How is it an insult sunny-Dave you have been known to have a Bonio?
Mama can you please explain to me where have I been petty and nasty I don’t understand I put in my opinion no way was I intentionally being petty or nasty it’s not in my nature
I presume you've read the thread, you saw AOG's comments on page 1 and then proceeded to replicate a similar point despite them being rebutted.

You were very clear you felt Andy was guilty of double standards by dint of his position.

I ask again , have you commented on other ABer's threads when they have asked Business based questions?

Shall we leave this thread to return to some helpful comment now?

Apologies Andy for my part in digression and filling up your in box.

jordyboy - // I am with AOG on this yes it’s advertising by the backdoor very devious, and being a moderator and aber of long standing you will get away with it double standards on here again //

If you can explain how my post was or is 'advertising by the back door' and 'very devious' - I will be interested to see what you have to say.

As for your insult to the Editor and Team to infer that they allow Site Rules to be broken by me, or anyone else - that is for them to address if they wish.

Not a problem - thank you for your support.

I did think anyone with useful information had already answered, which they had - it just left the nasty, miserable and insulting usual suspects to crawl out from their stones and snipe away, and for those of a reasonable and mature approach to address them for their rank hostility.
Andy Hughes you are as you have stated 63,so I am old enough to be your father, you are a very articulate and clever person,I gave my opinion on your post and yes you will disagree as is your prerogative, but I see what you are trying to do,set the powers that be on to me, I cry shame on you, if I am to go so be it
You may be old enough to be AndyHughes father but it really is time you grew up Jordyboy.
This is definitely turning into the Andy Hughes appreciation society or to put it another way the AB clique anyway who rattled your cage ecclescake?
Jordy, you won't want to hear this but I think you should walk away now rather than descend into insults against other posters.
THANKS MAMA Love and kisses to you XXX

Remember the 80's is the most popular decade of music with the general public.
Good luck Andy, I deal with a lot of the Facebook promotions we do so what I'd do in your situation is join ALL local Marketplace sales groups for around 50-75 miles, so your town and all major and minor satelite towns, plus any groups interested in the type of music you will be playing which cover a similar area and as you will be DJing there will be brides and wedding groups too and also groups for Prom Services. Post a bit on those first,do a special offer, then once your ball is rolling, but generally not until, go for a targetted advert ( will take 4-6 weeks to make that worth doing imho. Tie in your Insta and Twitter as well and multi post from all. It's quite easy once you get the hang of it but local groups are your way in with something like DJing. Good luck xx

Then perhaps it's time you started acting your age instead of seeing things that are simply not there - either me trying to 'advertise' something, or me getting preferential treatment from the Editorial staff at the site.

I gave my opinion on your post and yes you will disagree as is your prerogative, but I see what you are trying to do,set the powers that be on to me, I cry shame on you, if I am to go so be it //

Your 'opinion' is utterly baseless, and you know it, it is based purely on personal malice for reasons you know, and I don't care about.

If I was trying to 'set any powers' on you, I would have reported your nasty mealy-mouthed insulting untruths, but I have not done so - they remain for everyone to see you as you are.

You 'cry shame on me' - how very Shakespearean - as I said, try acting your age.
