Can someone tell me if i can save some mp3 music onto an internal hard drive
without actually fitting it into a case
i am trying to economically send some music to a relative

Yes, if you know what you're doing! If you don't have a case, you'll have to connect the hard drive to the machine's internals. So long as it's formatted, it'll acquire a drive letter when the machine reboots which you can then access through Windows Explorer in the normal way. Then, once you've done the copying, switch the machine off, remove the drive and send it to your relative who'll have to do the whole process in reverse. Does this make sense?

can i connect it via a usb?
Why not burn them to a CD (Between 100 to 150 per CD) or copy them onto a pen drive
I was going to suggest the same as Bertrum - burn them onto a CD, or maybe even a DVD .... sounds like a lot less hassle to me :)

Why not just put it on a USB stick?
Quicker, cheaper and easier and cheaper to post.
Use a USB Stick, my advice.

its for adj friend back up because they are moving and we have a few hard drives left over from upgrades
