Not used to texts...

Got a message on my new Samsung J320. Click the Message icon, message comes up.

On the top of the screen is an arrow going left, and the name of the sender.

On screen centre, the message.

How do I reply directly to that person/organisation?

Thanks for the link, Baldric, but even my weary old peepers might have seen a 'reply' button. I'll keep the link, though, as there might well be some useful stuff there..

Right, went down Chris's road again, but...

a) Do you REALLY have to have people's details stored in your 'contacts' before replying to texts? Seems cumbersome.

b) I did input T Mobile's name and number into my contacts, and then used that to start a text session. It went, but 15 seconds later came back saying 'Failed SMS'.

I know when I'm beat. I'll write to them.

BB
No, you don't.
Question Author
Oh I do, scorpio, I do. Age, disability, plus the heat... Maybe not done for, but I know when to stop fighting!

BB
...sorry, I meant you don't have to have the contact stored. Good luck :-)
Question Author
I see, I think I slightly misread Chris's answer, which on re-reading says either/or.

Well, in T-Mobile's case, they had both, so it certainly does seem to be a non-replying text.

Thanks all, for the efforts, much appreciated.

I'll get my partner to text me, and play 'replying' with her for a bit...
