I need advice from ABers. I am considering buying a new laptop
and have a hankering for the same make as i have now. The Dell
Inspiron. I only need the laptop for the usual stuff, online shopping, online banking etc. I don't need it for any business purpose.
it has to be a 15inch screen, and have windows 10.

I once had a laptop come back from the laptop hospital with Windows 8 reinstalled over my Windows 10 free upgrade and after the deadline for free upgrades had expired.
After I’d calmed down and stopped throwing crockery around I got on to Microsoft help and they talked me through a free upgrade. In fact she claimed that in effect anyone could upgrade for free if they asked

if you want to get all of your documents onto a stick (s) in one go then it will really depend on how much space your documents take up as to what size you need. you idea of lots of documents is probably different to mine. Have you thousands of pictures and videos? letter probably won't take up much space at all.
If however price is more important to you, get a cheap one and put part of your documents on it at a time, then when they are transferred, delete them and fill it up with new ones
