Installing 90S Game Onto Windows 8

Does anyone know how i can install an old 90s game onto my computer?

You have a PC running Windows 8 ?
Surely the game disk will have an installation programme that auto-runs.

The box tells me to click start, run and enter a code but it doesn't work so just wondered if there was anything else i could try.

Does the disk or box say what OS the game does run on?

Are you entering a valid code ?

Does the web suggest that it runs on Windows 8 ? Windows 8 launched in 2012. If not then you may need to simulate whatever it does run on. You may need an emulator running first.

Is it a DOS programme ? Maybe you need to be in DOS to get it to work.

Not that i can see, think i might have to wait until the computer's ready for a service and ask the man to do it for me.

What's the name of the game, out of interest

Look up the Windows compatibility wizard it may help as will be the games requirements if you have the box.
