It seems these days everyone has a smart phone with all kinds of features in it. But i am happy with just my trusty simple mobile phone to make calls and texts, are there many people still with a mobile?.

Yes, me! And I hardly ever use it! Mind you, I do make swiping gestures on the bus, just to show off!

I am the same , only use it for calls and texts. My phone has the capability to do other things but it ate up the battery when they were switched on, and I seemed to be permanently charging it. Got a friend to disable them and can just about live with having a mobile phone now, even if it is an antique!
If you're happy William that's all that matters.
Personally I wish I'd bought a smart phone long before I did, now I wouldn't be without it for sharing photos, checking and answering emails while on the move, keeping up with the news, using it as a calculator, torch, calendar, weather check, dictionary, posting on here, shopping online, texting, video calling, oh yes, and making the very occasional phone call too.

My smartphone takes the place of my desktop PC when I am out of the house. It pays for itself time and time again. Most days I see opportunities and need to assess an items value on the spot. Without the smart phone this would be impossible. Most days I need to communicate with ebay. I need to see images and links. A video link is often required in my work.
Many of my friends no longer have a computer as they can run their business from their phone.
Not that long ago a man called Ken Ollsen once said " there will never be a need for anyone to have a computer in their home".
Never say never regarding a smartphone !

When my Provider (Beardie's awful mob) stopped supporting my 20-year-old Nokia I cancelled the Contract, and bought another very cheap basic mobile with a SIM card to another provider.
I have deliberately not registered with this provider so I can take incoming texts only, which suits me as I only use it for login security codes. Registering would cost me £20 a month - for something I don't really need.
