It seems these days everyone has a smart phone with all kinds of features in it. But i am happy with just my trusty simple mobile phone to make calls and texts, are there many people still with a mobile?.

Yes, me! And I hardly ever use it! Mind you, I do make swiping gestures on the bus, just to show off!

I couldn't be bothered, Barry. I'm sure it'd be different if I didn't work from home though.

The torch is very handy mind.
Why £20 a month? I put £10 on mine...
/// Why £20 a month? ///

It's the minimum contract. And any not used expires at the end of the month which would usually be most of it in my case. My previous agreement was free with just PAYG top-up which then remained available for ever - typically I used about £5 annually.
Mine doesn't roll over. I have unlimited texts and minutes so I just let the kids use my phone.
Mine is £30 a month. But I haven't opened the laptops in years, kindle is for books. I use a phone for everything from AB to work accounts, social media, calculator, photos, everything.
my old Kiwi Mate, 89, has an old nokia slide phone, refuses to have a smart phone even when it was a gift!
I pay £6 a month for unlimited texts and calls and 15GB data which is more than enough for me. My phone is a cheap one that is nearly 4 years old and does everything I could possibly want.
I only have a simple mobile, but am thinking I might have to upgrade for a vaccine passport to visit the theatre. Just waiting to see what happens. You can get them at a reasonable price and don’t have to have a contract so, if I must, I will go for it.
i have an android phone, i use it to contact family on whatspp and stuff, its a good thing i have had a phone as i have been stranded in certain situations. I don't have an i phone, as that's too expensive.
mine costs me 11 quid a month, which i think is fair.
My daughter gave me her old I-phone. Great ,but only good for 2 things. Alarm clock and egg timer.
If you have Alexa you don't need those. I put food on and Alexa times it.
Got an Apple 11 but just use it for texts and calls and linking it to my watch ,I also have the NHS apps on it but I don’t use all its features which are many
