I have accidently hit the wrong key!! When I try to enter a number in a cell the cursor jumps to another cell - usually some distance away.
How do I get out of this?

At a guess, you've turned off NumLock, so the numeric keys are acting as cursor keys.
Have you tried turning it off then on again ?
You may have switched your number pad to being a right/left/up/down arrow pad. Perhaps tap numlock if you can find it.
I'm late, as usual.
