Sony NWa1000 delete songs?

Okay, so I uploaded some songs onto my mp3 player in mp3 format, and as a result it is only holding 1500 tracks (rather than the 4000 it can hold in compressed format)....I want to delete them all and start again, but I can't find out how to do it. I know how to delete individual tracks, but this would take forever! Any help? I've googled a bit, but to no avail.
