If I decided to buy a mobile on contract from a selected network, could I later switch to pay as you go ? Also on the initial contractual purchase, how many months do I need to pay for in advance as a first payment ?

I did show that phone on O2 by the way.
pay as you go.
most of the networks specify a contract length (usually 12 or 18 months) that means that you can change the contract during that time, but not to one of a lesser value p.m Be careful with tmobile as i went through hell to get mine changed to a pay and go after i had had the contract for 2 years. You would usually only have to pay on a month by month basis, they dont usually load the contracts upfront
