problem with ps2

Can anyone help me. My sons PS2 has just stopped working. It loads up but the disc is not spinning and then it comes up on the screen that there is no data. Has anyone one had a similar problem or knows what might be the cause. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

try this website link. this is the guide i used but just to add i also had to apply wd40 to the runners that the laser slides on.

before tweakign the lens adjustment be sure that you ahev cleaned the lens by gently dabbing a q tip in pure alcohol available from a pharmacy. if you're not confident about doing it, best get the unit to a tech.
