what is static text?

I have been asked to compile some static text on behalf of another colleague who is away. This is the instruction I was left:


'What we need is for the static text for the ticketing site to be compiled and then provided to the company who are setting up our ticketing site. In other words, every time you click on our site and get to another page, we need to provide all the text for that.'



I need to get this done before they return and any advice will be much appreciated.

Static text in the context of a website is text that is to be hard coded into the HTML. ie, not generated from a backend database.

crikey! that sounds complicated...
No, it's not (honest!). It's just the text you want to appear on the website. It's 'static' because it won't change. As opposed to dynamic text which can change under different conditions.

So what they are asking for is the text that should appear on each page of the site.
