I have the above model of DVD recorder and evry couple of months or so the internal clock seems to go haywire and the year leaps to 2069 or there abouts, generally after a thunderstorm but not neccersarily with lightning. Anyone else with this model and experiencing similar problems?

..I have the model but not had the problem..........I have found it an excellent machine with loads of features, all of which work..........try contacting their customer service dept. I hear it is very helpful.
Possibly worth investing in a surge protection plug.

I've not had any problems either but will keep one eye on the clock. (Never been a clock watcher!!! lol)

I contacted the help desk as commoner suggested and they have suggested that I switch the clock from auto to manual as when it is on auto the recorder gets its time from the TV signal and any interference in the Tv signal can cause a malfunction. still got six months guarantee left so time to get it sorted if this does not cure the problem

Thanks for all your replies.
