When I switched on my pc this morning a funny blue screen came up which said that windows was checking CHKDSK (I tried to write it all down but didn't have time!) and that it was deleting a corrupt file 37160 called Mustache CFDC9CD .. blah blah didn't manage to get the rest, and then it restarted. What was all that about !!!?? Any ideas anyone, thanks in advance.

It's possible that Windows detected a disc error of some sort last time the PC was used or shutdown.

It can automatically set a flag to run CHKDSK (possibly with the /F option) on the next boot to check the integrity of the disc and data.

Nothing to worry about it if has only happened on this one occasion and not on every boot.
