How do I change which programs load at startup?
3 Answers
How do I stop some of the programs that load in the bottom right hand corner of the screen at startup from loading? Plus, when ever I switch on my 'my documents' is open - its not a problem, just annoying, can I stop this, Thanks.

However this is not the only way this can be done so may only account for some programs. Try right clicking on the icon, as most have and options menu which allows you to disable the program from starting, however I will be waiting for a better answer as I have loads in mine I want to get rid of. Your my documents folder may have a short cut in the startup folder.
As above, best to use msconfig to stop all those applications from starting.
If your using Windows 98/SE and ME, leave the ticks in place for "systray" and "Explorer".
Windows 2000 does not come with msconfig but you can use the msconfig from XP (for one) http://www.perfectdrivers.com/howto/msconfig.html
