Java ( TM ) SE Runtime Enviroment 6 Update 1

Recently every time I went unto my computer I had a message asking if I wanted to update Java ....
I clicked yes today .

My question is what is it exactly and what does it do ?

Gives you the latest version plus any 'fixes'.

But go into control panel - add/remove programmes and you will see you now have at least two versions - hogging your hard drive.

Delete all but the latest one.

This programme lets a lot of websites be displayed properly on your pc. A lot of sites simply do not work without it.
