IE & Desktop has changed

My internet explorer and desktop icons look different, they look bigger not much bigger but its annoying me. The text in internet explorer also look slightly bigger. My little boy has been playing on my laptop and since this things have changed, does anybody know how to change it back please?

Right click in a space on your desktop and click on properties>settings.Then on screen resolution move the slider one notch to the left and follow the prompts.

Thanks for that, its still not the same when I did that it appeared really stretched. I've reverted back, I can't see as much on the screen as what I used to.

For the internet explorer issue, click on view - text size and choose a smaller one.

Do you mean your icons and the edges of web pages extend out of the screens range.
If so ,on your monitor settings you can alter it there.In the menu it may be osd or similar to pull the edges in.
