hi im looking for a modern 'turn based combat' game (like final fantasy x on ps2) for the pc, not the usual point and click format. any ideas? THanks for yr help.

Dunno what a 'turn based combat' game is but I tend to play war type games(Ghost Recon, Medal Of Honour etc) and IMHO Operation Flashpoint is by far the best I've played.

Star Wars: Knights of the old republic is good.

The Fallout games were excellent - Fallout 1 and 2 and Tactics. They are beginning to look their age though (Fallout 1 won't run easily on XP) you should be able to get the titles on budget release though. Also try Arcanum.
