Have you played DVD's on the computer before?

I have exactly the same problem.

I have been watching DVDs for ages on my computer. But now . . .

I have tried Real Player - no luck.

Quick Time Player - no luck

And when I try Windows Media Player I get the following message

Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer.

windows have upped their security most people have trouble with this, you would be better off using software that helps you

An update. I have managed todownload GOMPlayer. But when I try to play a DVD it tells me that I need a codec. I do not understand that because GOM say they have built-in codecs.

Ethel - I have downloaded the driver and Windows Media Player plays the DVD - but, no sound!!!!!
