Yes, unless the files are copyright free or officially distributed via P2P. There's not many such files though.
There are lots of offically distributed "Gold" files on KaZaa, and copyright allows for you to preview the files for 24 hours without an original copy. KaZaa and WinMX aren't websites though, they're applications you have to download.

So wot if its illegal! i use Winmx and i hav loads of stuff! (lets keep that between you and me though)

www.winmx.com if anyone wants a free program that is safe and stable and that gives out music, video, and archives...FREE! 100%!!! but yes. it is illegal. because they are all classed as royalty music unles the artist is dead or has aproved its free distribution. (that doesnt happen often).

Mykazaagold offer so much in the way of music and service that it is second to none! I would highly recommend http://www.mykazaagold.com to any one who needs almost free music files not only for the selection available, but because of the customer service that they are providing.
Kazaa Platinum http://www.kazaa-platinum.com recently came into market. I bought it & I think this was the best choice I ever made.

It gives me specific results for my music & movie downloads, unlike Limewire or any other Kazaa.

The best thing it is perfectly legal & copyrighted.

It also gives a free anti virus programme , free Ipods/ Mp3 transfer software, free CD burning software free, all in just 29.50 $ one time lifetime fee.

I must say it is a revoultion in music / movies downloads.
