samsung mobile phone

I need a new mobile phone and have had sumsung phones before and am happy to stick with them, but what I really want is one which leaves a little icon on the screen to tell you that you have received a message. Any thoughts on which model I should go for.

I just got my G600,i've never used a Samsung mobile before and I find them unnecessarily(sp) complicated. My last two phones were Sony Ericsson and were really easy to use.
