Net work problem???

I have a tiny computer which keeps disconnecting from the internet? My service provider is blueyonder. They say it is a software problem, tiny say that it is a cable problem? Who ever i get out to help will charge me around �100.

Are you on dial up with your internet?.I know if someone trys to phone you & your using the net you can be disconnected that way.As this is what sometimes happens to me.However in saying that you say you keep getting disconnected so unless your phone rings non stop then maybe it's not that.

It sounds that you may have auto logoff enabled. This will log you off if it detects a period of inactivity.(about 10 mins) 

You don't say what period of time you have before logoff, but most dial ups will usually allow a set period before switching off. (don't know about BY as never used them). This is usually about 2 hours.

If not this, finances permitting, go to broadband, I've never regretted it.
