Kit, how are you?
Not feeling good nor well Woofy but happy to have the opportunity to do some cooking again. If I don't eat another sandwich in my life I won't mind.

Is the plastic off?
Partly:/ My window is free but the plastic still covers the windows closest to the top of the building and there's a length hanging down on the side - all signs that they are preparing to cover us again in January. I swear I'll stop them.
sorry to hear it's still going on, Kit. Especially in winter, when you can't go and live by a lake somewhere and forget about it for a while.

We are due to deliver jno jnr to his girlfriend's family tomorrow and stay for Boxing Day lunch (Kit, Boxing Day is Dec 26 in a few British parts of the world). I've been wondering if I should go since I've had an irritable bowel all week... well, I say irritable, it's been furious; every hour or so - and the trip is 90 minutes each way. I didn't see how it could have been Sudanese food, since it didn't start till we got home, but I've decided it's actually the malaria pills which I'm still taking (because I'm not sure if I got a mosquito bite or not). Anyway, I have now ceased taking them and have taken an imodium instead and hopefully I can have a loo-free day. At this time of year my diet is mostly chocolate anyway, since pretty well everyone in this postcode knows that if I don't get chocs for Christmas I feel unloved.

mmm, that last one was 'forest fruits'.
I'm still hanging around with me glass of wine .I've just had some cheese and crackers .
It was Eau de dynamite by Clarins Kit. My favourite .
I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling good .This must be all very traumatic for you .Hopefully they won't start again until after the New Year so try and get some R&R in while you can xx

Yes Woofy I have to creep past Staples ;Rymans or The Works or I end up buying stuff. .I do love a notebook or fancy postcards ....and those packs of notelets ....
They do lovely art deco ones at the V&A.
Whenever I go to a church ,cathedral or stately insitution I have to buy a bookmark :)

Go to bed Shaney :=)
Night all xx
Oooh sorry Jno ....I hope your tum feels better soon .Sleep well and I hope you have a nice day tomorrow sans sprinting .
A quick good morning & a jolly or lolling Boxing day to all :o)...
...lol Kit, yes, that 'capture the magic' just about summed it up. I really hope you feel better today.

Sorry about your tum jno, it might be the bug that's going around? I only had a watered down version of the feast I'd planned yesterday, my headache turned big time stylie & I think me 'n Chas had the quietest xmas a'noon ever.

I see you've had lovely pressies (sons are good aren't they, almost all my technology has been bought by mine)...I had a a blingy multi functional handbag -short strap/across the body strap/no strap/flapover/oversized clutch/mini shopper/phew! :o) I was going to buy it for myself but sis got it for me... a cuddly dressing gown...lots of chocs...and Jude, you'll like this, a Merlin calendar! haha. Next year is going to be magic (for all of us) I absolutely insist upon it.
I love stationery too btw, it might be a generation thing I used to love a writing set with pretty coloured paper & envelopes...oooh & give me a rubber stamp & an ink pad & I'm a happy stick, haha.

Must go, got a pile of last night's pots to do, hair to wash & a friend to see who very inconsiderately has a birthday today...later.
Good Boxing Day Everybiddy. I love stationary too. I don't like lined writing pads. Have to have unlined with a line guide underneath. I love writing letters and try to do more even though emailing has taken over a lot. I had a 2 pen set of Winnie the Pooh pens and little note book from one friend and a lovely Illustrated Friendship note book from another. "The world is full of friends waiting to meet you'" I thought that says it all about us Biddies and Hippie Vin. x
I hope yesterday was peaceful for you all. I had a lovely meal with my sister and brother et al. and today I'm going to see my nephew and his family and his Mum, my older sister, will be there too. Then I will have seen them all over the weekend.
Better go and tidy up a bit now then I'm going to have a play with my new gadget from my son..

Have a good day all of you see yer later 'gater(s) x

A special big Hug to Kit X I'm sure the rest of you will understand that.
I have had to cry off the family visit as the imodium seems to have had no effect so I will just have to wait till the Malarone works its way out of my system. The notes list stomach aches and diarrhoea as 'very common' side effects, even if you've never had them before (and I have taken Malarone before), so I guess that's what it will be, even though I haven't actually got diarrhoea, just rush hour service rather than bank holiday service. Booger. Nice sunny day here too, though what it is like in deepest Kent where gf lives I do not know.

I hope everyone else has survived Christmas, and have you noticed how the days are getting longer? Here comes summer!
Good morning all. A lovely sunny bright but chilly day here. Glad we all survived Xmas. Woofy, what a biddy doing with an ipad. t6his is as near as I'll get to one!

am having lots of lully prawns for lunch and then tonight the trad cold turkey and bubble!!
Robi, I hope you are feeling better today! x
Lots of hugs to you all, especially jno and Robi. Hope you feel better soon.

Now jno, I am really curious about your revelations regarding the forthcoming Royal Wedding (Wills and Kate)!!! Curiouser and curiouser..................

Apart from my watch, Mr LL bought me some Amani Code perfume with body lotion to match (my absolute favourite). Son bought me a scanner and a large book with everything I need to know about sewing (in advance of me setting up the spare room as my special workshop.

Had a lovely day with Son and Mrs Son, filling our faces with nibbles and playing Risk!! Nice to play board games again. Finished up with a lovely Roast Beef Dinner at 9.00pm!!

Mr LL is walking Meggie and then we are taking a ship to Sheringham to look at the sea. We have had a bit of snow overnight, but today is frosty and sunny. I thought the thaw was meant to happen today!!

Am taking it easy on food today! Have discovered that 1 part Cointreau, with two parts white wine and topped up with Cranberry juice is absolutely lovely (courtesy of Nigella!!). It could become a habit.

See you soon! (Courtseys to Princess jno and walks out backwards)

xxxxxxxxxx
No, we are not taking a ship to Sheringham!! We are actually taking a trip!!

Good morning all. Big lol about day here.It was MINUS 9 this morning!!!!!!
Bit cold for DH so tomorrow I go alone again (my decision) I too have a galloping tum but suspect too much turkey is the culprit in my case.
Puts hand up in air, me too with an overactive tummy today, certainly wasn't alcohol, as I only had two glasses of sweet cider all day!
oh, a trip to Treringham rather than a ship to Sheringham? We must all cut our spending, I suppose.

I can assure anxious biddies that I am quite some way below a dukery on the social scale and seldom seen in a tiara (though too often seen in the loo these days).
Have just eaten cold prawns with, soy sauce, rosa sauce and mayonnaise dips, quite delightful (apart from hsving to share with mousey!) Am now indulging in merigues, whipped cream and Baileys , delicious.

I have remebered that I have eaten a whole bag of liquorice allsorts, hence the tummy trouble........................
Oh heck, you'll be wanting the Biddies Guide to Pile Survival next I suppose?
And what revelations? I must have missed that...or was it in that scary news section?

Lovely pic neti, feeling a bit better thanks but I'd be cock-a-hoop looking at that every morning and your +11C would be fantastic right now.

What's this, Lotties taking a herring to Shipham? :o)
Here is the shipping forecast
Sheringham ,light to moderate ,gale warnings imminent in Jno's loo.

Happy Boxing day folks and I hope any poorly Biddies soon feel better .

Lolling day here at Shaneytowers ,Mr S watching Teevee and I'm pondering my crosswords.
Cold meat ,bubble and pickles later .
Very cold here ,frosty frozen .
I'm very interested in this handbag of yours Robinia ...... :)) It sounds ideal.
Take care all ,enjoy your day .
