Nursie turned up with a prescription and I phoned Superdrug and yaaay they had the taps ( or whatever name they call them ) in stock .I boiled up some scissors cut the bloody thing and put the valve on .Mr S is a happy man .We've had a nice dinner and alls well.

right, I have wrapped all the pressies except the ridiculous magazine stand, which is like one in a shop, about 4 feet tall and skinny and didn't come with a box, so it will just have to be handed over as is but with a ribbon on it. I have rung sisses down under, where it is not snowing at all, and told them I will see them in a couple of months. I have failed to find any news reports of armed police making arrests at John Lewis, so maybe I just imagined the whole thing.

Santa seems to be somewhere over Kitworld now and heading my way. So - merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Good morning all. We went out as a family this morning, DH as well. Now enjoying hot drinks then back to bed. Whatever happens tomorrow, today is Christmas Day and there were times when i never thought we'd get here.
Shaney its just AMAZING what we end up doing isn't it? I had a thought the other day that all that I had done and learned my whole life had been to make me ready to care for DH now....strange isn't it?

Mr N has had an almightly strop, he always does on Xmas, and he went back tobed, but all' well (it usually is) and he is going to cook the dinner (panicking there for a moment, as I've never cooked an xmas dinner in my life!)

Morning all...quiet for a Saturday, is something going off? :o)

Ding dong merrily, Belgian truffles for breakfast, headache & haven't touched a drop. Spoken to Ozzy son, it's 37C & they've been lazing on the beach, lolling in their swimming pool and were going to have their turkey dinner outside.. <sigh>... mind you, I don't think I'd like that heat either.

Well I'm out of practice cooking xmas dinners neti but I'll cobble something together if you want to keep yourself busy while you wait...look what I got!

Mr N towing the line and cooking away like mad, I've even forced him to open some of his presents, defo a bah humbug type of person :-), but I'm used to him. Daughter and I went out for coffee and to wish all our friends Merry whatever. She looks really nice with the big boobies although they do not look too big.

jno when I checked santa at 9pm he was leaving Italy and going to Denmark (obviously Mr Grinch had a word so he avoided Ibiza!!)

Have had some lovely pressies and spoken to my bros and sisses. Got some Tony Hancock cd's which I adore and only had them on chewed up tape, so now can play them on new cd player in kitchen!

Actually it's really cold although very sunny!

Have had an excellent xmas lunch, dishwasher is doing most of the chores, and washing machine churning away (as per) I've just washed up the residue of plates and dishes, and cleaned the kitchen and am off to catch up Eastenders and Corrie which I haven't seen since Thursday when my site went down. Family gathering (3 of us) at 6pm to watch "The Red Balloon" for the remaining pressies and cuppa and cake!

Sat here with a new iPad and about my third glass of champagne. DH has had a cigar and three beers (small) and is sat here rosier and happier than I have seen him in months. Turkey is cooking and for this one day at least, all is well. Hoping all is well with you too.

I know that feeling jno, isn't it odd when you witness something AFK (away from keyboard) that you are later unable to verify on the web - it's almost as if it hadn't happened.

Got a nice heat-tech scarf from Santa and have been wearing it all day, indoors and out. Fed a huge meal by jno jnr, roast lamb and mint sauce, roast potatoes, the works. I shall resume eating on Tuesday.

Had a nice dinner ( sauerbraten and accompaniments. ) Had nice presents ,perfume, a super duper pen and some lovely writing paper ( I must be the oldest schoolgirl in the world ) because I still use a pencil case and am a stationery fiend .DVD's and of course the teevee on which I'm shortly going to watch the Carol Concert from Winchester with a glass of wine and some Xmas pud and then watch Poirot later .

I think stationery must be a biddy thing. One of my most treasured possessions in a mont blanc fountain pen. I use it to write a paper diary every night.

How peculiar jno, what do you suppose it means? / Shaney what perfume? You should have a super duper pen, you have a super duper handwriting, one of the best I've ever seen, not "fancy" or calligraphic the artsy way but just naturally powerful and harmonious.
