I posted an answer here and it's vanished. I sent hugs and good thoughts to Lottie and a snigger at Kit's naughty vid. Lottie, I know that when you feel that way nothing helps but. We are all here and thinking about you and wishing you better in our various ways.
Lottie I'm with Woofy all the way there. Get well soon x
Evening chooks
Pee Po foggy day at Shaneytowers .Real pea souper all day .
Sorry to hear you are under the weather Lofty .Are your arthritics giving you gyp gal ? Mine certainly are .I'm stiff as a board and hobbling about like old Mother Cluck today . The only thing that seems to oil the wheels is a couple of stiff drinks :))

Don't like this time of the year either .January is always a depressing month for me .
I hope you soon feel better ,spring is round the corner ,take care xx

Haha.. Kit that was funny .Have you managed to locate the other UD episodes yet ?

Oh that's awful Neti. I suppose they watch to see if people are away .Swines .
Nothing exciting going on here .Same old .
Take care all and sleep tight .See you later xx
Morning tout le monde...another murky grey day here.

That's rotten neti, you never know who's watching

Same here shaney, pass the wd40 please. I can't remember the time I hurt so much in so many places all at one time, my pain is usually localised before it moves to another area. And yesterday I had a touch of the collywobbles, felt like I'd been kicked in the stomach. I thought it might be the bug Tarquin had just before xmas but hopefully it's passed without event.
Hope everyone else's ailments are minor...KBO
Today's menu (according to Tarquin's facebook :o) )

I am such a lucky so and so! My shower is over my bath and I have to step in it. Well I did and slipped over, I could have been knocked out but all I got was a bruised leg and upper arm. I'm a bit shook up but ok now. I do have a rubber mat to stand on but will be replacing it p.d. q. I have to keep on telling myself to stop thinking what could have happened. Sorry to go on but I just had to tell someone.

Hope you all get over your aches and pains. As robi says it's a murky day over here but not as cold as it has been. But the damp wont help aches and pains will it.
Going to Boots today for a 'shop-in'

Tarquin's menu brought a smile to my face Robi.

see yer later 'gater(s)
and now hija's best friend has been robbed and a big flat screen tv stolen and a laptop, when reported, the Guardia said, let's make it two laptops!! i ask you!!!!!
whooo, well, Stan the man has certainly sorted out the internet, I have web pages whizzing through the air here. Actually, it completely vanished at first but he came back this morning and twiddled something and it came straight back ten times faster than before. Wonderful! Now if I can just get my Sky card in the mail so I've got telly too...

Lottie, sorry to hear you've been under the weather but it's nice that music can accompany you there.
Hi lottie. hope you are recovering. I don't have much experience with "the black dog" as shaney calls it, but it sounds awful, so just hang on in there, we are here when you need us xxxx

Robi your menu link times out. Was it slow cooking? :-)
We went out shopping yesterday to get a case for DH's ipad (synchronicity, we both bought them for each other) and today I am sat here in a haze of virtue because I have just done the vacuuming. DH has gone out biking with a mate of his. The cartilage on my knee is making up its mind whether or not to play me up, I have threatened it so we'll see. Jude bathrooms are dangerous....if you can stand the ignominy, how about a grab rail on the wall?
naughty naughty guardia......
Hi folk, Thanks for your understanding and good wishes. I am OK now. I don't know why it hit me so hard, but I recognise that the only thing I can do when I feel like that is hide away and combine sleeping with thinking and playing loud music. The other day it was all four 'Elbow' albums. It truly is a horrible feeling when you feel that everything is totally pointless. I know that if I could make a huge effort and get up and out it would be better, but I simply can't do it.

Anyway, love to you all.

Hope all goes well with your daughter Neti. It is a worry and I have to admit I would be worried too. They are our babies after all.

Jude, I fell out of the bath once - slid and went totally head first over the top of the both and ended up on the floor. It was in my younger days before Mr LL and I were a proper item and I was living at home with Mum and Dad. All I can remember is laying on the floor, the phone ringing it and Mum answering and telling Mr LL that I couldn't come to the phone because I had just fallen out the bath. How very romantic!!

Yes Shaney my arthritis is dreadful at the moment. Today it's sciatica again, but my feet are absolutely killing me and the bumps on top of my insteps are huge. It seems to be everywhere at the moment and to be honest I was better when it was icy cold than I am now that it warmer and wetter.
Pressed 'submit' too early!!

But, see you later. Am making soup in a good housewifely fashion.

x
Have you read the book 'Toast' by Nigel Slater? I loved it. Tonight it is on TV as a drama at 9.00pm and I am so looking forward to it. Hope it lives up to the book.
It was this woofy...

Ooh, that's spooky Jude... this morning as I stepped out of the shower (over bath) I thought I'd better be extra, extra careful as I was so siff & achey.
You were lucky and I was too a while back when I tripped as I stepped out. If I'd carried on falling in a straight line I'd have hit my head on the radiator on the oppostite wall but fortunately(?!) I smashed my knee against the basin & ended up ricocheting all round the bathroom, haha. I think a black knee was better than a hole in the head...or worse.

Am opening a tin in a good housewifely fashion. :o)
*stiff...what the 'eck is siff? ...
< I daresay Sweedie will be rustling through the urban dictionary for that one :o)>
I am being very virtuous today. Have Henried everywhere, made a turkey and mushroom pie, consoled my friend whose mother died a couple of weeks ago, washed both the beds. lighted, lit, ignited (which is it please??) another log fire, hauled baskets of logs up from the garden, made some very strange looking mince pies (well I ued up odd bits of pastry so the bottoms are shortcrust and the tops are flakey and look like vol-au-vents. Very strange!

Had a lovely meal last night, but not a very sociable meal as everyone was up and down at different times (self service) so not any long conversations. But hey, it was freeee!!!
Oooooo Robi I'm pleased you didn't fall. I shall be extra careful in future. I have bought a new shower mat from Boots with extra special grippers etc. £13 it was. Next year I'm thinking of having my bathroom redone and having the bath taken out and a shower put in. I only had it done about 5 years ago but I think it will be worth it.
Turkey and mushroom pie sounds lovely Neti ...I'm on my way. Sorry to hear about the thefts going on there. Aren't there some undesirables about!
Good to see you Lottie and you do sound better than you did. You have your way of dealing with it and that is good. Even if it is playing loud music, nothing wrong with that, I do it. I listen to Planet Rock on my DAB or my CDS and have a jig around on my own. I can still 'rock it all about' and when I do that I feel better.
Bought some cheepo jeans today to knock about in from Sainsburys. £4 they were in the 'economy' range. They'll probably shrink in the first wash :-)
Catch yer later...
Spooky again Jude, I'm just browsing the tinter for some jeans! They sound like a bargain...but not if they shrink... :o)

Yes, turkey pie for me too please neti...and you lit the fire
I'm not sure if they will shrink Robi but I had to have a 14 instead of a 12 so there'll be a about an inch to spare. If you get my meaning. :o)
Is everybiddy going to watch Toast tonight? It's got a brilliant review!
