Just popped in to wish all of you a VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR
Talking of baths, I hate them and probably have had about two all year. I hate going on holiday and finding a bath instead of a shower.
We have neighbours coming round for drinks and eats so must go and make myself look presentable.

Lovely boots neti...I did an emergency clean & whizzed the iron over a few things, Chas hates the ironing board & always barks & 'sees it off' when I'm putting it away.
Spoke to Oz son, it's well into 2011 there & they were drinking champers & beer on the beach earlier.
A Happy & healthy new year from me too...hope it's a far better one for all who wish it to be. xxx

happy new year to one and all. We've been round for some champagne with our nice German enighbours and may go back at midnight for further drinks in the street. Not trudging into London for the official fireworks - we did that last year and were very nearly crushed; they'd set up barriers on the Embankment and refused to move them when it was all over and everyone was trying to head home. Fortunately they fell over anyway, otherwise it could have been very nasty. Goodness knows what they were thinking, but Hillsoborough came to mind.
Jude, I always sit in the bath while I'm running it, otherwise I get the temperature wrong and burn sensitive portions of me in scalding water when I get in, or freeze same. But mostly I shower.

^^ eek-eek-eek-eek-eek...! / Evening biddies, the fireworks have started in my for the time being visible park outside my window and all dogs must either keep it in or go to the countryside to erm see a dog about a man.
Mrs Harris, that's it Woofy. I was just a child when I read it, my Dad thought I might like it. He was always reading (Reader's Digest kind of literature usually) and never remembered a thing he had read:) We had bookcases from floor to ceiling; I loved it, would pedal around in my kiddy car and stop at a shelf here and a shelf there and read a bit before i pedalled off again haha. Later on I desired to recreate that kind of library style home, I so wanted barrister's/solicitor's bookcases to cover every inch of my library http://i56.tinypic.com/23kzqxx.jpg but could never afford either a library or the bookcases and now I don't even want it anymore. Would still love a huge apartment but wouldn't want hardly anything IN it, just the space.
Well I managed to record three videos on my mobile phone yesterday without even knowing I was doing it ha ha ha! Won't show you those, they are mostly of my stomach ha ha ha, but here's my first mobile photo, which also went off before I knew what I was doing! Clive was good Robinia .He was Raleigh not Essex .Very swashbuckling and smouldering :)

Good morning...so what's new? :o)
Happy one again anyway.
I only saw the first 10 mins or so of Clive, Charlie was very restless, in & out of the garden, so I gave up. It's not that he needs to go out that often, it's just a habit he got in to I think...and he doesn't stay out there very long as a rule. It takes me longer to get up & unlock the doors.
Might have an amble to the shops if it stops raining, I haven't got a tv mag & I need to see what I'll be missing this week.

yawwwwn... welcome 2011. Didn't go out again, stayed in to proofread a friend's book (and we picked up quite a few typos, so our time was well spent) and watched the fireworks on the telly. They looked very good this year but I'm not sorry I wasn't there. Seems quite mild out, but I'm not going outside to check.
Good morning Biddyfriends having a loud Bob Dylan Morning to start the New Year off with a bang!! I have no neighbours at the moment as the lady who was going to move in hasn't because of a breakdown in the agreement so I can have my music as loud as I like and who knows who my new neighbours will be.
Going down the Castle this afto. It's a yearly occurrence on New Years Day. There's big crowd of close family and friends with there kids old and young and they have a rowdy fun game of footie to get rid of some excess energy - well the kids that is!
Had a good last night with my friend.Some drinks and eats. We watched Elizabeth with your Clive Robi I found it a really good film. Then we watched the NY in on BBC 1 and I opened the blind so that we got surround sight and sound firewoorks..
Didn't wake up til 7.30 which was unusual for me

Morning, very quiet here, only one cafe open for brekkie, absolutely no shops open anywhere. Wore my new boots and they are so comfy, love them.
Mr N is home all day today, lawdy what am I gonna do with him? I think he's going to start his 1,500 piece puzzle of beer bottles!
