I have an old pc that I would like set up so that I can get dial up internet acces.I cant seem to find any of the free discs that are available from places like Dixons,I can only find Broadband,or pay monthly discs when I only want pay as you go dial up.I have looked on the Wanadoo website and you can download and install from there, but how can I do this if the pc is not yet set up with an ISP.In otherwords.how can I sign up for internet access without being online
See how big the Wanadoo file is. If less than 1.44 mb, go to a public access point such as a library with internet computers or an internet cafe, and download it to a floppy disk.
All the free discs so is configure your machine - which is simple enough (except for AOL which takes it over). Go to http://www.ukonline.net/pays/ to sign up for dial up access account with full details how to setup dialler (takes about 2 minutes)
