Camcorder ejecting tapes.

I've got a samsung mini-dv camcorder that when you put in a tape it beeps and an eject sign comes up. Sometimes it shows the battery going to an empty icon. I know this could probably be anything and may not be worth fixing but are there any common things I should look out for that may be causing this?

It could be moisture on the heads. Try leaving it with the door open, switched on for an hour or so.
