One of the progs.I miss a lot from XP is the above.I've been looking at the prices of one for Vista but too rich for me at the moment.I see that there are free downloads.what are the setbacks with something for nothing???
Thanks CF I've never really liked that site. The wording always seems so faint and the size of the map isn't so big.Is it possible to open it up to full screen??
You can click the little arrow at the top left of the map (also on the blue bar) to get rid of the side bar and make the map full screen width. or you can download the google earth program which displays the map much larger and will also do directions.
Hi CF I have those progs already installed so I'll stick with them for now but getting back to my original post, what are the drawbacks,if any,by downloading a freebie such as Microsoft Autoroute?? Thanks again!!
Firstly, Microsoft Autoroute was not part of Windows XP. It may have been bundled with a new PC running Windows, and may even have been pre-installed for you, but it still wasn't free - its cost was just hidden away in the overall price.
