I have got my nails really good at the mo for the weddings. I've been putting on Sally Hanson
Maximum Growth every day. It was only a fiver and I've only used a very small amount up to now. I reckon it will last me all summer. (When it returns!!)

It is only small and has room for my little camera and some cash and a lippy etc. There are a couple of little flowers on the front. And some tissues if I'm still like this.

She was telling me she has sold her house and has plans for the next 3 months. Mostly going away. She only works one week a month now. Definitely not investing in property again.( ;~) says I! )

jno jnr dropped in for dinner on his way to Yorkshire to spend the week with gf's family, and I was able to solve a mystery: why, when he went on his rugby trip to Spain, was it necessary to wear a full-size chicken costume?

The answer: they all had to dress as ingredients of a paella.

So obvious when you know, isn't it?

Was going to go shopping with my sis but she overslept big time stylie - what is it with everyone's sleep patterns, I was awake at 5.30? :o(. Anyhoo, owing to faded interest & multiple aches 'n pains we decided to postpone.
I may go to the local ones though, je suis sans chocolat. I'll have a rummage in my 'weekend box' to see if there's a rainproof chicken suit I can wear. :o)

Morning all
, no the fires are still out of control, we have all the fire planes from Spain here, 3 lots of army people. Last night the smell of burning was horrendous, (we all know how I dislike the smell of bonfires!!) and the planes are still going over. They are using most of the bays around the island. Some homes have now been lost and people are donating clothes blankets anything, although I really don't think they would want my leopardskin leggings! It is so so sad, but looking on the bright side, the island will recover in about 5 years, so all is not lost.

Very warm and sticky here, done the shopping, had brekkie out and bought a new watch cos I felt like it!

Tooth is slightly easier as long as I do not touch the gum, whre it was stitched it is now wide ope (bit like the gob!) and there is new gums growing underneth so I guess that is OK, have stopped all this water gepoken, and just rinse with warm salt wter!

btw the little toe was stubbed again yesterday but is fine and the finger only aches occasionally so things are looking up!

Hope all your aches and pains are better jude, robi, shaney (peeing??) jno fellow gum sufferer, dolly.

Good luck Mr w and woofy, hope the pups (!) stay clean for a while! Can I be indelicate to ask what is dialysis, what actually happens, I know they wash the blood, but how??

Oh Jude don't despair, the wedding's next week isn't it? It migh be gone by then. It's hard to make out but it looks like a blood blister...probably a burst vessel as a result of your recent allergy/infection. Go to the pharmacy or doctor & see if they can do anything (I'm sure they'll understand if you tell them you're a guest of honour at a wedding :o) )

I'll give ya fish fingers mrs...everyone (except me) seems to be eating them this week. I'll stick a few in a pop sock & whizz it over to you Highland Games stylie.

oh btw, I ambled all the way to Tesco (better fresh veg than anywhere else round here) and the were closed until further notice. They had a break in apparently...let's hope they stole all the broccoli....and anything BBQ related :o)

oww Jude, looks like a burst blood vessel...they do clear away fairly quickly so don't despair. Its sleepy weather atm Robi. Every time I sit down I could nod off. Neti what they do in dialysis is take blood out of the body through a needle put in a specially enlarged vein and run it through a machine with a filter in it that takes out all the waste products that the kidney would normally remove. The partially cleaned blood goes back into the body through another needle back into the enlarged vein and it all goes round and round about 5 times in 3 hours.
The machines are very clever. there isn't an actual pump, the blood goes through the machine in disposable soft plastic tubing squeezed around the machine by running the tubing between rollers. No blood ever touches the actual machine so it can be used by loads of people, only the tubing is disposed of.

I went to the Pharmacy and my friend Hannif says it is a burst blood vessel and I prob blew my nose too hard. Anyway I went to my gardener's wedding just for the service he asked me to stay for tea but I was begining to cough so I said my goodbyes. His wife a very nice person and she knew about me so I was happy with that and they are going to keep in touch. It's the first time I've been to a Methodist service and when the Minister asked if he and she were free to marry and they both said yes he said 'Thank goodness for that the right answer' And when he pronouced them man and wife he said 'the time is now the right time to kiss your bride' because they had been kissing all the time. I don't think Methodism is for me though.
Anyway hope everything is cleared up for next weekend so me and my friend can relax and enjoy ourselves. Also sorry Neti but have to say it.COME ON UNITED!!!!!!
