(Use the Clean install procedure if there is old stuff by Logitech for the webcam that is NOT working, OR a new install does NOT work)
No need, otherwise .. save you some time.
I'll give you the address for the takeaway driver later.
Uh Oh ..
I suppose you have crashed .. or the PC has?! : )
Question Author
lol .. nooo ive not crashed ... im still here!!!

i was just emailing me dad with the step by step instructions as to what to do!

so i wont need to do a clean thing then, cus when ive borrowed the cam off him, its worked fine on mine, although, when the camera is plugged in and is working ok on msn chat, it doesnt show as being plugged in as a removeable device or anything when i look in 'my computer'
(ive installed the new stuff you gave me tonight though, is that ok)

sooooo, do you want an indian ordering or a chinese?! lol ... or will just a bag of chips do?! ;o)
How about a nice shish kebab .. or Adana? .. I changed my mind. Fancy something like that .. not had one for ages!

Sounds good to me ...
Think it will show as imaging device .. or an HID hevice. Tick "show
hidden devices" in View tab of T Manager.
Question Author
ok, its on its way! :o) .. ive asked for a big portion for you!

im not sure if ive fully completed the download though??
yes, ive got a folder in my documets called qc1051enu, but it doesnt ask me to run it like you said, it just asks do i want to open it, but when i try to open, it says abode doesnt support it or something.. theres other options to choose from (not sure which to choose though)
is there something i still need to do please?
It is a file, not folder .. You should double-click on the file (it is an executable)
It should start the program install.
What happens?
That kebab better be good.
Can only be here another 1/2 hour tho .. early start on replacing a complete cottage window inmorning : )
Can check here tomoz tho.
Question Author
sorry albags! this must be verrry frustrating for you ... and if i could get that kebab to you for real, i would!!
i bet you wished youd not looked in on my post now dont you? lol ...

ok ... its just showing as a blank looking file in my documents. i double click on it, and all it asks me is, do i want to open it. thats it. nothing else.
Click yes .. Is it zipped maybe? What happens?
No probs at all : )

Just checked a download of same file .. Should be about 80Mb.
R-Click it and Properties .. look for description and file size.
Question Author
yeah, ive tried clicking open.
a page of different options come up asking me how i want to open this file - abode reader, word pad, etc etc..
the first option is highlighted which is the abode reader one. i click on that. but it says abode does not support this file or something..

sorry!! ...

i just noticed a thread on the go over in recent posts - 'anyone care to join me in a bottle' ............. lol .............. have you got your name down?! lol .... i bet you could do with a drink after all this dont you?

sorry albags, i really appreciate you giving me all this time and help ... but if youre getting a bit fed up, just say ok.

(gawd knows how me dads getting on his end with the instructions ive passed on to him, if ive mucked it up!)
OK

You had better leave for tonight as your PC should be able to run an .exe file. It does not open with any program.
You will need to go into folder options an unhide the show file extentions to check this file.
I have to go in a few mins, but will add to this tomorrow soonest .. prob when I eat the cold kebab at lunch tomoz!
x
OK didn't mean I was fedup with it! x
