Since re for matting my pc, cannot find a drive on pc so cannot read floppies, help please

If it's listed in there but with anything (icon) implying an error then at least your PC knows it's plugged in and just needs the driver for it.
If it's not there at all, it may not have the power supply correctly attached so you'd need to open your PC up & get inside it.
This isn't an exhaustive solution by any means but is at least a starting point.

A Stevie21 says, if you look under the Device manager, and it is showing it could well be that somehow the driver has become corrupted during the re-format - right click on the item and select properties / update driver - it may be that you need your disc to reinstall the driver? alternatively, you could select DELETE from ths list and re-boot, the "found new hardware" option "may" kick in and reinstall it perhaps? Reattaching the power supply is far less intimidating than you would imagine - I learnt the hard way by blowing up an old computer :-)
